Star Chart For Rewarding Good Behavior

We are trying something new to encourage the kids to behave in situations they struggle with.  So, we are offering them an opportunity to earn stars for a star chart.

They may earn stars by being good at bedtime, nap time, during "school time," and when watching their educational video.  So that adds up to a possible 4 stars a day.  This comes with a zero tolerance stipulation.  Stars will not be earned easily.

The real motivator is that if they collect 25 stars, they earn a dollar to spend at the dollar store.  They are excited.  We started today, but didn't have school time today, so they had 3 chances to earn stars. S was the only one to earn a star, and he earned only one star.  But, they were visibly motivated.  They improved so much tonight at bedtime.  They almost got a star... but not quite.  I am sticking to my guns on how difficult it is to earn a star.

We will just have to wait and see if this works.
